Pay-television broadcaster BeIN Sports has acquired exclusive domestic French Ligue 2 broadcast rights until 2029. The network’s TV channels (including beIN Sports MAX) and OTT streaming service beIN Sports Connect in France are expected to show every Ligue 2 match every season from 2024/25 to 2028/29. The five-year deal between the Qatari-based sports network and LFP is valued at €200 million, or €40 million per season.
BeIN Sports broadcasts live French Ligue 1 matches in France on television and online for the 2024-2029 cycle. For €15/month without commitment, subscribers can televise and stream Ligue 1 games on their smart TVs, mobile phones, laptops and game consoles via beIN Sports Connect’s 100% Digital package. BeIN also offers multicast options at the same price. Live fixtures include weekend games on both Saturdays and Sundays. All Ligue 1 matches live on beIN Sports can also be streamed live on myCANAL, CANAL+’s digital streaming service. BeIN Sports agreed to broadcast the headline Ligue 1 fixture each week or the second-biggest match every other round, whereas joint broadcaster DAZN covers most of the weekly matchups. BeIN Sports’ French Ligue 1 contract from 2024/25 to 2028/29 is reported to cost €100 million per season, of which €20 million includes a sponsorship component.
In France, users can watch the EFL Championship on BeIN Sports until the end of the 2027-2028 season. French viewers can stream and televise 155 Championship matches exclusively every year. The EFL Championship games are also available to stream live on beIN Sports Connect online and via mobile apps in France. Another option for live Championship matches for French fans is the TOD subscription-based OTT platform, where live sport is streamed in 4K across several devices. The global broadcaster signed a deal spanning multiple territories, with EFL coverage on beIN Sports France channels starting in 2024-2025. The TV rights were brokered by Pitch Internal, the media rights sales agency operating on behalf of the EFL for European and Middle Eastern markets. BeIN Sports’ partnership with the EFL now extends beyond 18 years and includes over 300 matches yearly, in addition to match highlights, repeat broadcasts and magazine shows.

Under terms of the deal, which runs for four years through the end of the 2024/2025 Bundesliga season, BeIN Sports will provide live TV broadcasts through its family of channels, while live streaming and on-demand access will be offered through its corresponding app, beIN CONNECT.

The pay-TV broadcaster’s subscribers will have access to 104 live matches every season, in addition to the highlights of every game. BeIN Sports will air live Champions League matches in high definition on its family of French-language TV channels and stream the action live on its digital platform, beIN Sports Connect. The network is also expected to provide full match replays and related programming throughout the cycle.

beIN Sports has maintained its exclusive broadcast rights to Serie A in France following a three year deal with Infront, Serie A’s media rights partner. This deal will run from the 2021/22 to 2023/2024 Serie A seasons. Fans will be able to access matches both live and on-demand via beIN Sports’ family of channels as well as its corresponding app to follow games using tablets, computers, mobiles, and smart TVs. Additional bonus content includes pre and post-match analysis, goal highlights and other carefully curated shows.
BeIN Sports holds French multi-platform rights to the 2022 World Cup. The pay-TV broadcaster has all 64 matches live on its networks, 36 of which are available exclusively. The other 28 matches are shared with free-to-air broadcaster TF1. BeIN Sports have reportedly prepared for 230 hours of live World Cup action from Qatar, including magazine shows and match replays. All World Cup matches have also been scheduled for live streams on subscription streaming service beIN Sports Connect.

BeIN Sports has renewed its multi-platform Italian Serie A rights in France, following a successful agreement with the IMG agency. BeIN Sports will provide extensive coverage of Italy’s top division through its linear networks and MAX channels, until the end of the 2020/21 season. The pay-TV broadcaster will air live Serie A matches every week, in addition to multiple full-match replays and magazine shows. All games televised will be available for subscribers in France to watch online and on mobile devices in high definition, via OTT service beIN Sports Connect.

The French pay-TV broadcaster will cover the matches on its linear TV networks and beIN Sports Max channels, as well as on the beIN Sports Connect OTT platform for computers, tablets, smartphones and smart TVs. The deal is expected to run until 2021.
Pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports has acquired French rights to the UEFA Euro 2020 Championship. The network will air 28 matches live exclusively on its family of channels, while the 23 other Euro 2020 matches will be shared with commercial networks TF1 and M6. Coverage of all 51 matches in the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament on beIN Sports will include near-live and on-demand clips, match highlights and auxiliary programming. All the Euro 2020 action will be available to stream live on over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform beIN Sports Connect, which subscribers can access online and via the service’s Android and iOS mobile devices.
BeIN Sports has acquired four packages of the French Ligue 1 rights in France, which will grant its family of television channels and online streaming platform permission to air Ligue 1 matches from 2016 to 2020. Package Three counts 22 matches, 12 of which will be shared. It also includes three magazine programs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Other packages cover multiplex rights on match weeks 19, 37 and 38, in addition to the Trophée des Champions game, magazine programs on Mondays and Fridays, as well as on demand content. French Ligue 1 games will be broadcast in high definition on beIN Sports 1, beIN Sports 2, beIN Sports 3, beIN Sports MAX channels, as well as on over-the-top (OTT) platform beIN Sports Connect in France.
