Pay-television broadcaster BeIN Media Group has signed a new extension contract with the Premier League for the period 2022-2025 in the MENA region. BeIN Sports networks in Africa and the Middle East will show all 380 Premier League matches exclusively across 24 countries every season, on television and digital platforms. BeIN Sports will cover the EPL games live in English and Arabic languages, in high definition. The deal, which is reported to be worth $500 million, is said to reflect the reduced fees caused by content piracy issues in Saudi Arabia.
The broadcast rights for the UEFA Women’s Champions League in the MENA region have been awarded to BeIN Sports as part of its agreement with UEFA for the period of 2021/22 to 2023/24. This deal ensures exclusive broadcast rights on various platforms, including live streaming on the OTT subscription platform, beIN Sports Connect, in Arabic, English, and French.
beIN Sports has retained the multi-platform broadcast rights for Italy's Serie A for the 2018-19 to 2020-21 season cycle. beIN Sports will be the exclusive Arabic language Serie A broadcaster in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA region).
