Pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus has maintained its broadcast rights to the English Premier League in France until 2025 after successfully extending its three-year deal. As per the contract terms, Canal Plus is expected to provide full coverage of all 380 matches throughout the 2022/23 season until the conclusion of the 2024/25 campaign. Viewers may enjoy access to on-demand options and live streaming using Canal’s dedicated app, myCANAL, and the Canal Plus Premier League digital platform.
Pay-TV broadcaster Canal+ has secured non-exclusive rights to the UEFA Europa League in France. The deal between the network and Europe’s football governing body will see Canal+ cover at least 16 matches per season, starting from 2021-22. The agreement, which compels Canal+ to share coverage with a French free-to-air (FTA) broadcaster, also involves the newer Europa League Conference competition.
Canal+ has secured the rights to 34 live UEFA Champions League matches in France. The pay-TV broadcaster will show the games on its linear channels and make the live streams available on its over-the-top (OTT) platform, myCanal.
Canal+ has agreed to share coverage of the Premier League in France for the 2019-22 cycle with RMC Sport TV channels, after initially acquiring exclusive multi-platform rights for the competition. The agreed sub-license deal still allows flagship channel Canal+, along with Canal+ Sport and Canal+ Décalé to participate in the broadcasts of all 380 games in high definition, whether live or delayed. Subscribers may be able to stream Canal+ channels' Premier League fixtures online and on the network's mobile apps.
