China Media Group (CMG) has obtained Chinese media rights to the 2022 World Cup. All 64 matches of the Qatar-based tournament have been scheduled to air live on CCTV’s digital and linear networks in 4K and 8K quality. CCTV’s multi-angle coverage includes a 160-member reporting team equipped with advanced technologies, artificial intelligence for analysis, and 5G streaming. CCTV’s 2022 World Cup broadcasts in China extend to mobile and radio platforms.
