DAZN acquired French Ligue 1 rights from 2024-25 to 2028-29 as part of a major five-year deal featuring flexible exit clauses depending on subscription targets. The contract reportedly costs DAZN about €400 million per season, with an additional €50 million per season if 1.5 million subscribers are reached in France. Aside from live Ligue 1 matches on weekends and mid-week slots, users may expect continuous game highlights, interviews and magazine shows, all in high definition on DAZN apps.
DAZN France has entered an agreement with the French Football Federation (FFF) for broadcasting the third-tier Championnat National. DAZN will showcase two matches per game week, with one co-broadcast with Canal Plus. The partnership commenced with in mid-January 12 and extends until the end of the 2023-24 season.
