DIRECTV has acquired the rights to broadcast all matches of Spain's La Liga for three more seasons until the 2025-26 campaign. This comprehensive coverage includes the ten matches of each round, with the addition of exclusive broadcasts of the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de España on DSPORTS and DGO. Beginning with the 2023-24 LaLiga EA Sports season, subscribers may access live coverage of every match across both DIRECTV and DGO.
DSports (formerly DirecTV Sports) is showing all 32 matches of the 2024 Copa America live in South America. The Latin American sports subscription network is airing the matches on its television channels and online platform DGO. DSports’ 2024 Copa America TV plan covers Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela, thanks to its multi-country feed. Every match streamed online is accessible to subscribers live and on-demand, all with Spanish-language commentary.
DIRECTV provides exclusive coverage of the Copa América 2024 live in Ecuador through DSPORTS and DGO. This includes every match of the tournament, ensuring fans do not miss any action. Local free-to-air channels may broadcast select matches as well, including the opening ceremony and Ecuador's games.
DIRECTV has secured Spanish-language Latin American rights to the 2022 World Cup. The World Cup rights cover Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Uruguay. All 64 matches are live on the platform with multi-camera angles, extensive highlights and recaps, and live statistics. DIRECTV has planned for three channels, DIRECTV Sports, DIRECTV Sports 2, and DIRECTV Sports +, and the games are expected to be broadcast in 4K. Per initial arrangements, DIRECTV Sports 610/1610 HD is meant to prioritize matches involving the Argentinian, Ecuadorian, and Uruguayan national teams. DIRECTV Sports 2 (612/1612 HD) is reserved for live training ground reports and press conferences, whereas DIRECTV Sports + (613/1613 HD) has been selected for behind-the-scenes clips, highlights, and more. In total, over 1,400 hours of original World Cup programming is anticipated.
News updates and extracts from the action are set to be published on DIRECTV Sports’ social media outlets, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. Every 2022 World Cup match on DIRECTV is scheduled to be streamed live on the multi-platform OTT service DIRECTV GO. This means live 2022 World Cup games and related programming for Latin American viewers on computers, Android and iOS mobile devices, and smart TVs.
DirecTV will have exclusive television and digital rights to the 2021 Copa América tournament in Ecuador and five other South American countries. All 28 matches of the competition will be shown live and on-demand, along with pre and post-match analysis, key highlights, and other bonus Copa América content.
All matches will also be live-streamed on DirecTV’s OTT subscription streaming service DirecTV GO.
