Telenet-owned Play Sports has arranged a sublicense deal for Spain's La Liga from Eleven Sports. This agreement enables Play Sports to broadcast select La Liga matches to its audience in Belgium. The sublicense is part of a broader partnership between Play Sports and Eleven Sports, enhancing Play Sports' existing lineup of football coverage from various leagues.
Telenet has maintained their exclusive broadcast rights to the English Premier League in Belgium after renewing their current contract for another three years beyond 2022. The new deal now extends Telenet’s access to top-flight English football until the conclusion of the 2024/2025 Premier League season. Viewers will be able to follow Dutch-language coverage of the Premier League via Telenet’s family of channels, Play Sports, whilst live streaming will be available using the network’s corresponding app, Play Sports Open.
