Public service broadcaster SBS has secured exclusive Australian rights to the 2022 FIFA World Cup. SBS’ coverage includes all 64 matches live in HD from Qatar for free, 8 of which have been slated on the SBS Viceland network as simultaneous games. The 2022 World Cup on SBS consists of 500 hours of content–a vast catalog of programs comprising extensive match highlights, replays, and classic games. SBS On Demand’s offer during the tournament is set to revolve around live World Cup streams, match replays, mini-matches, and more. Consumers of the SBS Sport website are to receive interviews, video extras, and highlights as well.
SBS has secured broadcast rights to the 2022 FIFA World Cup for Australian viewers. All 64 matches of the men's quadrennial tournament will be shown on SBS's family of channels, live, free, and in HD. Eight live games will be also shown simultaneously on SBS Viceland, while bonus content, including match replays, pre and post game analysis, goal highlights interviews, live streaming and more will be available via SBS On Demand.
