Pay-television broadcaster Astro has extended its Malaysian broadcast rights for the English Premier League until the end of the 2024/25 season. Astro’s deal features live telecasts and streams of all 380 EPL matches every season exclusively, with select fixtures airing in 4K Ultra HD.
In Malaysia, fans can watch the Copa America 2024 live on Astro channels on TV and online. Astro’s coverage includes all 32 matches, specifically on Astro Supersport 4 (channel 814) and the live streaming service Astro GO. Viewers without Astro may still stream the 2024 Copa America live in Malaysia through the Sooka app by subscribing to one of Sooka’s Sports passes. It must be noted that there are no free-to-air broadcasts on RTM networks, as the tournament is available exclusively through Astro and Sooka.
Sooka holds the live broadcast rights for the UEFA Europa League in Malaysia, offering fans the opportunity to watch live matches through their streaming service on various devices. In addition to live Europa League action, Sooka also provides comprehensive match highlights of all the goals.
Pay-TV satellite and IPTV provider Astro has secured 2022 World Cup broadcast rights in Malaysia. Astro subscribers are set to enjoy all 64 matches live from Qatar. The action may also be streamed live on the OTT service Astro GO, which is available on several mobile devices. Out of 64 games, 37 are exclusive on Astro via three dedicated channels—one in UHD and the other two in HD. Astro's World Cup package includes comprehensive analysis, studio shows, match highlights, full replays, and more.
