Televisa has acquired Mexican rights to the 2022 World Cup. Under the agreement with FIFA, Televisa can air 32 matches of the Qatar World Cup on its television and digital platforms for free, including Las Estrellas, Canal 5, N+ and ViX. Meanwhile, premium OTT service ViX+ has eight live games. All of Mexico’s World Cup games are scheduled for free-to-air television and free streaming on ViX. Televisa-owned free-to-air network Canal 5 has agreed to air the Spanish La Liga live during the 2021-2022 season. The broadcast deal grants Canal 5 the rights to show one La Liga match per matchday for the rest of the season.
