Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT) will now continue to have exclusive rights to the Bundesliga in Norway through 2029 after extending their prior four-year deal with Bundesliga International, an ancillary of the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga.
Viewers will be able to live-stream over 300 Bundesliga matches each season featuring the game’s biggest stars via Viaplay’s high-definition OTT streaming service. Game-day commentary and analysis will be provided in Norwegian, as well as key match highlights and postgame shows.

Viaplay Group holds exclusive UEFA Europa League rights from 2024/2025 to 2026/2027 in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The rights also extend to Iceland in non-exclusive terms, as Viaplay’s Europa League coverage is shared with local TV network Sýn. Live UEFA Europa League streaming on Viaplay is available across multiple devices via its apps and several TV partners’ platforms, amounting to hundreds of live matches yearly.
Pan-Nordic broadcasting company NENT Group has extended its exclusive German Bundesliga media rights until 2025. The TV operator will air over 300 live Bundesliga matches on its over-the-top (OTT) streaming service Viaplay in the Nordic region, every season. The new deal, which starts in 2021, also includes rights to the Bundesliga’s relegation play-off games, Super Cup and 2. Bundesliga. The matches will be aired on pay-television with local-language commentary. At least one game will be televised in Ultra HD, every match day. Coverage will be complemented by studio analysis and match highlights.
NENT Group has secured exclusive Europa League rights in Sweden, Norway and Finland in a three-year deal that will run from 2021 to 2024. All Europa League matches will be streamed live on Viaplay, with extensive studio programming. Games will be available on Viasat’s pay-television offerings across the region, whereas NENT Group’s Swedish, Danish and Norwegian linear TV channels will also broadcast select matches. The pan-Nordic media company is set to offer all the Europa League action with local-language commentary in all three countries.
